Can you at least provide more info? For example "dmesg", "lspci", opengl status (glxinfo) and perhaps, run it inside gdb and paste the stacktrace (bt full). Once you provide more info, reopen. lspci: http://www.sabayonlinux.org/pastie/2404 dmesg: http://www.sabayonlinux.org/pastie/2405 running inside gdb is difficult because it starts after two scripts... Sorry, i forgot glxinfo: http://www.sabayonlinux.org/pastie/2406 A revision of this will hit Entropy today. Bug still stands danysk@DanyDesktopCesena ~ $ nwn /opt/nwn/nwn: line 63: 13718 Segmentation fault ./nwmain $@ Do you need new dmesg, lspci and glxinfo? Then the problem must be upstream. Not going to debug this myself. I'll assign this to Fabio and he should decide if we should remove/fix this. Recently I also bumped games-rpg/nwn-data Can you check if you got it installed and maybe try to reinstall it all to be sure? Yes: danysk@DanyDesktopCesena ~ $ nwn /opt/nwn/nwn: line 63: 8044 Segmentation fault ./nwmain $@ The error still stands. Danilo, could you attach the output of "strace nwn" or perhaps try to load nwn in gdb (you probably need to recompile it using CFLAGS="-g" (or -ggdb -O1) FEATURES="debug"). Cannot debug, cannot find a real solution, upstream is dead and no sources are available. Joost: Maybe drop it from amd64? Created attachment 290 [details]
strace nwn
I am now reinstalling it through emerge with the flags you suggested. However, I agree with Fabio: if we are not able to provide a working package we should remove it. I'm having problems running it in gdb. I actually never used it, so can you please tell me which commands should I use? Thanks. Give up. nwn removed. |
