Bugzilla – Bug 738
Lines splash requires an already installed package
Last modified: 2012-06-08 06:58:16 UTC
Problem: Unable to load or set to Lines login splash, error is "Moodin is required but not installed", however, Moodin is installed. When logging in, I see no splash, when splash is set to Lines. When trying to set my splash to Lines in Control Center -> Appearance & Themes -> Splash Screen an alert pops up with an OK button and the following message: "This theme requires the plugin Moodin which is not installed." However, Moodin ís installed, as Lines did work perfectly before messing with wicd-tray.desktop (see below) and I also did an equo search: Sm0kerZ-ParadiZe ~ # equo search moodin >> @@ Searching... >> #1 Sabayon Linux Official Repository >> @@ Package: kde-misc/ksplash-engine-moodin-0.4.2-r1 branch: 4 >> Available: version: 0.4.2-r1 ~ tag: NoTag ~ revision: 1 >> Installed: version: 0.4.2-r1 ~ tag: NoTag ~ revision: 1 >> Slot: 0 >> Homepage: http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=25705 >> Description: Splash Screen Engine for KDE - Heavily >> customizable engine for various >> types of themes >> License: GPL-2 >> Keyword: moodin >> Found: 1 entries Sm0kerZ-ParadiZe ~ # Looks installed to me.......... First occurance: My initial "problem" was two wicd-tray icons appearing in the system tray after each login. After a bit of searching and asking I looked into the ~/.kde/Autostart/wicd-tray.desktop (see below) file, googled some more and decided to add the following line: X-KDE-autostart-phase=2 After a '/etc/init.d/xdm restart' I now only had one wicd-tray icon in the system tray, just like I wanted to. However, I lost the Lines splash and couldn't set it back anymore. Removing the 'X-KDE-autostart-phase=2' line in wicd-tray.desktop and restarting xdm did not change the situation: The login splash Lines does not work, when trying to set that in Control Center I still get the same error, but at least I don't have two of the same icons in my systray anymore. I've done equo remove and install, even with --deep option, I've done an equo update --force and an equo world --empty, I've ran equo deptest (all ok) and equo libtest (output below), and naturally I've done several xdm restarts and even reboots. The thing that set this off seemed to be my changing wicd-tray.desktop, but changing it back does not help. equo libtest output: Sm0kerZ-ParadiZe ~ # equo libtest >> @@ Libraries test >> @@ Collecting broken executables >> @@ Attention: don't worry about libraries that are shown here but not later. >> (8.2%) /usr/lib/ardour2/libmidi++.so [ libpbd.so ] >> (10.1%) /usr/lib/ardour2/libardour_cp.so [ libpbd.so :: libmidi++.so :: libardour.so ] >> (24.4%) /usr/lib/nsbrowser/plugins/libvlcplugin.so [ libxul.so ] >> (27.0%) /usr/lib/mozilla-firefox/components/libbrowsercomps.so [ libxul.so ] >> (30.1%) /usr/lib/ardour2/ardour-2.7.1 [ libgtkmm2ext.so :: libpbd.so :: libmidi++.so :: librubberband.so :: libvamphostsdk.so :: libvampsdk.so :: libardour.so :: libardour_cp.so ] >> (37.9%) /usr/lib/ardour2/vamp/libardourvampplugins.so [ libvamphostsdk.so :: libvampsdk.so ] >> (39.3%) /usr/lib/xulrunner-1.9/plugins/libnullplugin.so [ libxul.so ] >> (43.8%) /usr/lib/xulrunner/plugins/libunixprintplugin.so [ libxul.so.1 :: libxpcom.so.1 ] >> (49.8%) /usr/lib/ardour2/surfaces/libardour_genericmidi.so [ libpbd.so :: libmidi++.so :: libardour.so :: libardour_cp.so ] >> (51.3%) /usr/lib/ardour2/surfaces/libardour_mackie.so [ libpbd.so :: libmidi++.so :: libardour.so :: libardour_cp.so ] >> (57.4%) /usr/lib/ardour2/surfaces/libardour_powermate.so [ libpbd.so :: libmidi++.so :: libardour.so :: libardour_cp.so ] >> (63.5%) /usr/lib/xulrunner-1.9/plugins/libunixprintplugin.so [ libxul.so ] >> (66.2%) /usr/lib/ardour2/libardour.so [ libmidi++.so :: libvamphostsdk.so :: libvampsdk.so :: libpbd.so :: librubberband.so ] >> (72.1%) /usr/lib/ardour2/surfaces/libardour_tranzport.so [ libpbd.so :: libmidi++.so :: libardour.so :: libardour_cp.so ] >> (74.0%) /usr/lib/kde3/libamarok_ipod-mediadevice.so [ libgpod.so.3 ] >> (78.5%) /usr/lib/ardour2/libgtkmm2ext.so [ libpbd.so ] >> (92.1%) /usr/lib/xulrunner/plugins/libnullplugin.so [ libxul.so.1 :: libxpcom.so.1 ] >> (95.4%) /usr/lib/openoffice/basis3.1/program/stocservices.uno.so [ libuno_cppuhelpergcc3.so.3 :: libuno_sal.so.3 :: libuno_cppu.so.3 ] >> (97.9%) /usr/lib/ardour2/librubberband.so [ libvampsdk.so ] >> @@ Matching broken libraries/executables >> @@ Libraries/Executables statistics: >> ## Not matched: >> => /usr/lib/ardour2/ardour-2.7.1 >> => /usr/lib/ardour2/libardour.so >> => /usr/lib/ardour2/libardour_cp.so >> => /usr/lib/ardour2/libgtkmm2ext.so >> => /usr/lib/ardour2/libmidi++.so >> => /usr/lib/ardour2/librubberband.so >> => /usr/lib/ardour2/surfaces/libardour_genericmidi.so >> => /usr/lib/ardour2/surfaces/libardour_mackie.so >> => /usr/lib/ardour2/surfaces/libardour_powermate.so >> => /usr/lib/ardour2/surfaces/libardour_tranzport.so >> => /usr/lib/ardour2/vamp/libardourvampplugins.so >> => /usr/lib/kde3/libamarok_ipod-mediadevice.so >> => /usr/lib/mozilla-firefox/components/libbrowsercomps.so >> => /usr/lib/nsbrowser/plugins/libvlcplugin.so >> => /usr/lib/openoffice/basis3.1/program/stocservices.uno.so >> => /usr/lib/xulrunner-1.9/plugins/libnullplugin.so >> => /usr/lib/xulrunner-1.9/plugins/libunixprintplugin.so >> => /usr/lib/xulrunner/plugins/libnullplugin.so >> => /usr/lib/xulrunner/plugins/libunixprintplugin.so >> ## Matched: >> @@ Caching complete.
